Riding on the Prayers of Our Ancestors
Magnus Family Reunion in Whidbey Island, Washington.
It's hard to talk about a gift like your family. I want everyone to have what we have, to know what it's like and to belong to us the way we belong to each other. I know that's not possible, but I hope we all create some of what we have for the rest of the world around us. We come from all four corners of the States yet share so much in our faith, commitment to family, generosity, humor, and love for adventures.
The strength of Christ is truly present in this family. It's seen in the support we've been to each other, it's felt in the joy of being in each other's presence, it's lived through struggles and darkness. It is by no means perfection; there is no such thing. It is, however, rare. And we do not take it for granted.
I'm thankful that I was placed in a family who has taught me so much and loved me so well.
Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow;
Praise Him, all creatures here below;
Praise Him above, ye heavenly host;
Praise Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
